UNITHROID® is the FIRST FDA-Approved Levothyroxine Sodium, USP product. In 2000, the FDA granted Jerome Stevens Pharmaceuticals, Inc. an NDA (New Drug Application) for UNITHROID® and established it as the reference drug for hypothyroidism. 

In 2004, “JSP” agreed to manufacture UNITHROID® for Lannett Pharmaceuticals and continues that relationship today. 

What is UNITHROID®?

UNITHROID® is a Levothyroxine Sodium, USP product used to treat hypothyroidism and other thyroid conditions by stabilizing crucial hormones (such as TSH ) that may be effected by thyroid conditions. Thyroid patients may have metabolism complications, mood swings, irritability, and other side effects associated with their condition that UNITHROID® can help regulate!

What about my current or other Levothyroxine Sodium, USP products?

UNITHROID® has been PROVEN to be a safe and stable product and can be substituted in place of other levothyroxine brands. Consult your physician before switching regimens.
